Best Time to Visit Ninh Binh, Vietnam
Located in northern Vietnam, Ninh Binh enjoys a humid subtropical climate with four distinct seasons. Each season off
- Spring (February – April)
Spring is one of the best times to visit Ninh Binh. The weather is mild and pleasant, with occasional light rain that keeps the landscape lush and green. Rice fields are vibrant, and visitors can experience the famous Bai Dinh Pagoda Festival, a major cultural and spiritual event in the region.
- Summer (May – August)
Summer is hot and humid, with periodic heavy rain and thunderstorms. While this is considered a low tourist season, it’s an excellent time to witness the rice harvest, when fields turn golden and farmers begin gathering their crops. The scenery is dramatic and rewarding for photography lovers.
- Autumn (September – November)
Autumn is the peak travel season in Ninh Binh.Trang An Festival, held in September, adds cultural highlights to this already picturesque season.
- Winter (December – January)
Winter brings cooler temperatures, occasional fog, and light drizzle. Although it’s quieter and less crowded, this season is ideal for travelers seeking a peaceful atmosphere and relaxed sightseeing without the crowds.
“Com” Season – A Unique Local Experience
In addition to the main rice harvests, Ninh Binh also celebrates the special “Com” season (young sticky rice) from August to September. During this time, locals harvest young rice grains, a regional delicacy known for their fresh aroma and subtle sweetness. Visitors can observe traditional harvesting
