- Difficulty level: Moderate. The tour includes some uphill treks and rugged backroads. Riders should be confident on a motorbike, but you can also ride as a passenger with a guide. If you’re unsure, let us know, we’ll adjust the route to match your fitness and comfort level.
- Best time to go: The best time is August to October, during the golden rice harvest. May to June is also stunning, known as the water-pouring season, when rain fills the terraces and locals start plowing, creating shimmering, mirror-like fields. April to June offers fresh green scenery. The tour runs year-round, though December to February can be chilly in the mountains.
- Required experience: No prior trekking or motorbike touring experience is needed. If you don’t want to ride yourself, you can join as a passenger behind one of our experienced guides..
- What to wear: Wear comfortable outdoor clothing, preferably long pants and breathable layers. A windbreaker or light jacket is useful for the pass. Good closed shoes (trekking or motorbike-friendly) are strongly recommended..
