Description
Sapa Trekking Tour 3 Days
Muong Hoa Valley – Ban Ho Valley | Authentic Ethnic Villages (2 Nights Hotel)
Located in the far northwest of Vietnam, Sapa is world-famous for its spectacular rice terraces, often ranked among the most beautiful in Vietnam and the world. If you love nature, photography, cultural encounters, and challenging treks along hidden local trails, this 3-day Sapa trekking tour is designed just for you.
This immersive journey takes you deep into Muong Hoa Valley and Ban Ho Valley, two of the most scenic and least touristy areas in Sapa. Trek along winding streams, lush rice terraces, and remote mountain paths, passing through highland Hmong villages, narrow dirt trails, stone paths, and small mountain streams flowing along the edges of the fields—offering a rare opportunity to experience authentic local life and culture.
Along the way, you’ll meet diverse ethnic groups rarely found on standard Sapa tours, including Black H’mong and Giay people in Muong Hoa Valley, as well as Tay, Dao, and Xa Pho communities in Ban Ho Valley. Both valleys are surrounded by dramatic mountains and layered rice paddies, creating unforgettable landscapes throughout the trek.
You will stay 2 nights at a comfortable hotel in Sapa, allowing you to relax after trekking while still enjoying easy access to local villages and scenic valleys. Our itinerary is well-organized yet flexible, suitable for different fitness levels. Simply let us know your preferences, and we will customize the trekking routes, distances, and difficulty to match your abilities and expectations.
Best Time to Visit Sapa, Vietnam
Sapa enjoys a cool subtropical climate year-round and is famous for experiencing “four seasons in one day” - fresh spring-like mornings, warm summer afternoons, misty autumn evenings, and chilly winter nights.
- Spring (February – May)
Temperatures range from 14–25°C, with mild weather and little rainfall. This is the season of blooming peach and plum blossoms and the stunning water-pouring season, when rice terraces fill with water and reflect the sky like giant mirrors - perfect for photography and trekking.
- Summer (June – August)
With temperatures between 20–30°C, summer brings frequent rain that transforms the landscape into a lush green paradise. Mist often drapes the valleys, creating a magical atmosphere over rice terraces and forests.
- Autumn (September – November)
Temperatures stay around 15–20°C, with cool and dry weather. This is the best time to visit Sapa, as rice terraces turn golden during the harvest season, offering the most iconic and breathtaking scenery of the year.
- Winter (December – February)
Temperatures drop to 0–10°C, and Sapa is often wrapped in fog, giving it an ethereal charm. On rare occasions, light snow appears on mountain peaks—especially Fansipan—creating a truly unique winter landscape.

"It was a worthwhile hike and the scenery was amazing. Everything was well organized and arranged by the company. My guide was Hoai and she was helpful in answering questions and giving insight into the trails and culture of Sa Pa. The accommodation was ok, it can't be compared to a 4 star hotel but I liked the simplicity and friendliness of the locals. Overvall, the tour company deserves 5-star review and thanks for them to arrange us smooth and interesting trip!"
