Itinerary

This 3-day Sapa trekking tour combines scenic mountain hikes, ethnic village encounters, and Fansipan cable car experience. You’ll trek through Lao Chai, Ta Van, and Cat Cat villages, home to the Black H’mong, Dao, and Giay ethnic minorities, discovering local life, terraced rice fields, waterfalls, and stunning valley landscapes.

Morning
Around 07:00 AM, our sleeper bus picks you up at 204 Tran Quang Khai Street, Hanoi and transfers you to Sapa Town. (If there is a different pickup point, we will inform you in advance.)

Midday
Arrive in Sapa around noon. Our local tour guide welcomes you at the bus office and escorts you to the hotel for lunch featuring local cuisine.

Afternoon
At 2:00 PM, begin a 3 km downhill trek to Cat Cat – Sin Chai Village, a traditional Black H’mong village discovered by the French in the early 20th century.

In Cat Cat Village, you will:

Visit the Cat Cat Hydropower Station
Admire the beautiful Cat Cat Waterfall
Learn about H’mong culture, customs, and daily life
Observe traditional crafts such as textile weaving, silver carving, and hand-forged farming tools

After exploring the village, trek 4 km back to Sapa Town.

Evening
Dinner at 6:30 – 7:00 PM.
Overnight in 3-star hotel.

Morning
After breakfast, from 09:00 – 09:30, start a scenic trek through Lao Chai and Ta Van villages, located in the heart of Muong Hoa Valley.

This trek offers:

Walks along rice terraces and mountain trails
Encounters with Black H’mong and Giay (Dzay) ethnic minorities
Opportunities to interact with local families and learn about their traditions and daily routines

Lunch
Enjoy lunch en route or at a local family home, depending on trekking conditions.

Afternoon & Evening
Continue trekking at a relaxed pace before returning to Sapa.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Morning
After breakfast, transfer 3 km by car to the Fansipan Cable Car Station.

Take the cable car to Fansipan Peak (3,143 m) – the highest mountain in Vietnam and Indochina.
At the summit, you will:

Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views (weather permitting)
Visit mountain temples and pagodas
See the giant Buddha statue, the highest in Vietnam

Descend by cable car and transfer back to your hotel.

Afternoon
Free time to shower, relax, or explore Sapa Town.

Depending on your bus departure time, we will transfer you to the bus station 30 minutes before departure.

Evening
Arrive back in Hanoi around 7:00 – 8:00 PM.

The course’s difficulty: is assessed on average across the program, meaning that even an “easy” rating could include sections of moderate or hard difficulty due to the uneven, mountainous terrain with varying elevations..
Lunch is intended: to be provided at local restaurants; however, should unexpected situations arise, a picnic lunch will serve as the fallback option..
Due to wet condition:, the trekking route will be slippery, so the itinerary is subject to change based on that..

"It was a worthwhile hike and the scenery was amazing. Everything was well organized and arranged by the company. My guide was Hoai and she was helpful in answering questions and giving insight into the trails and culture of Sa Pa. The accommodation was ok, it can't be compared to a 4 star hotel but I liked the simplicity and friendliness of the locals. Overvall, the tour company deserves 5-star review and thanks for them to arrange us smooth and interesting trip!"
